While Alzheimer’s disease (AD) classical diagnostic criteria rely on clinical data from a stablished symptomatic disease, newer criteria aim to identify the disease in its earlier stages. For that, they incorporated the use of AD’s specific biomarkers to reach a diagnosis, including the identification of Aβ and tau depositions, glucose hypometabolism, and cerebral atrophy. These biomarkers created a new concept of the disease, in which AD’s main pathological processes have already taken place decades before we can clinically diagnose the first symptoms. Abstract Antibodies directed to the HBs antigen indicate viral clearance and the development of life-long immunity in patients that recovered from HBV infection. In HBs antigen vaccine recipients anti-HBs antibodies provide protective immunity. However, little is known about the regulation of this HBs-specific antibody response. The existence of anti-HBs-secreting B cells was demonstrated using the highly sensitive ELISPOT technique compared with conventional ELISA in serum and cell culture supernatants. We analysed the production, impact factor of, and scientific collaboration involved in viticulture and oenology articles associated with South African research centres published in international journals during the period 1990–2009. The articles under scrutiny were obtained from the Science Citation Index database, accessed via the Web of Knowledge platform. [ES]: Se realiza un estudio comparativo desagregado por sexos de la producción científica en literatura de los investigadores que trabajan en instituciones españolas. Se han identificado 806 autores que han publicado algún trabajo de literatura en revistas indexadas en la WoS hasta el año 2017, analizando comparativamente su productividad y patrones de colaboración considerando la variable sexo. El 55.51 % de los autores identificados fueron hombres frente a un 44.49 % de mujeres. Los resultados muestran que entre los grandes productores del ámbito de la literatura predominan los hombres. This paper analyses the development of Spanish research literature in the field of citation analysis and impact factor (IF) in biomedicine over the period 1981-2005. Bibliometric methods and social network analysis were used to examine papers indexed in the Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCI-Expanded), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), MEDLINE, Índice Médico Español (IME) and Índice de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades (ISOC) databases. 184 papers were identified, 79.89% of which were original research articles. Se analizan básicamente dos modelos, el modelo Vancouver, promovido por el Comité Internacional de Editores de Revistas Médicas, y el modelo APA, de la Asociación Norteamericana de Psicología.
